If I may, I want to recommend a book series, it's called I hunt killers by Barry Lyga. It is about a child of a teen of a serial killer and he investigates a murder.

Honestly people think that many books look boring just because the book is thick. I just wanted to tell everyone who looks at this comment that even though the books look thick that doesn’t mean that they are boring. Also some books have trashy starting chapters like Harry Potter(my opinion) so I recommend people to read at least 3-4 chapters or a book.

I'm still not a fan of reading books, but like you, my exception also turned out to be a Manga. The only thing I can genuinely say I enjoyed reading (heck, I'd even say liked or loved) was a Splatoon manga (I think it was the 4th volume in its series). Well, that and a couple of comic books that I bought at a comic book store in San Antonio. (I really need to catch up on reading more of those and some others that I got for free in Austin.)
